Who we are
ShivAstro (https://shivastro.vercel.app) is operated by Shivam Sharma, an individual proprietor based in India. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, and how it is used.
What we collect
To compute your birth chart, you provide: your name, date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. This is the minimum required for an accurate astrological calculation.
If you use the AI chat or "Go Deeper" features, your questions and the resulting chart data are sent to our AI provider (Groq) to generate a response.
If you book a paid consultation or purchase a Premium PDF report, we collect your name, phone number, and the questions you wish to ask, so the payment and consultation can be fulfilled.
How we store it
Your birth chart is computed on our server for each request and is not stored in a database. If you use "Save chart," the data is stored only in your own browser's local storage — never on our servers.
Chat history with the AI astrologer is likewise stored only in your browser, not centrally.
Payments
Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments, a licensed payment gateway. We do not see or store your card, UPI, or banking details — these are handled entirely by Cashfree under their own security standards and privacy policy.
Third-party services we use
- Groq — powers the AI astrologer chat and readings.
- Cashfree Payments — processes consultation and report payments.
- Vercel — hosts the website.
Your consultation questions
If you book a paid consultation, your questions and birth details are shared with our astrologer via WhatsApp so they can prepare and respond to you directly.
Your rights
You can request deletion of any data you've shared with us (e.g. consultation questions) at any time by contacting us — see our Contact Us page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes.
