Mangal Dosha (Manglik) Calculator
Mangal Dosha — being 'Manglik' — is one of the most-checked things in Vedic astrology before marriage. It forms when Mars sits in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house, counted from your Ascendant, your Moon, or Venus.
ShivAstro's free Mangal Dosha calculator checks all three reference points, tells you the severity, and — importantly — checks the classical cancellation (Mangal Dosha Bhanga) rules that reduce or nullify it. Manglik status affects marriage timing and intensity, not your worth or fortune.

How Manglik status is judged
Mars is checked from three points: your Lagna, your Moon sign and Venus. The more of these where Mars falls in a sensitive house, the stronger the dosha. ShivAstro reports it as Mild, Moderate or High.
Cancellation (Bhanga) matters
Many charts have factors that cancel Mangal Dosha — Mars in its own sign (Aries or Scorpio) or exalted in Capricorn, certain house-and-sign combinations, or Jupiter's influence. A Manglik flag without checking cancellations is incomplete.
Remedies, if you want them
Traditional supportive practices include Hanuman worship on Tuesdays and matching with another Manglik chart. Gemstones like red coral should only be worn after a qualified astrologer confirms Mars benefits your Lagna.
Frequently Asked Questions
▸How do I know if I am Manglik?

▸Is being Manglik bad?
No. It traditionally relates to marriage timing and intensity, and is very often cancelled by other factors. It is not a verdict on your character or future.
▸Can Mangal Dosha be cancelled?
Yes — there are well-known Bhanga (cancellation) rules. ShivAstro checks them and lists any that apply to your chart.
